The recipe is simple – hot coffee + grass-fed butter + MCT oil, blended and served.
I, personally, thought it sounded delicious and was more so looking for a cappuccino replacement (now that I am aware of how badly dairy affects me) than a miracle drink.
The benefits of bulletproof coffee supposedly include boosts of energy and improved cognitive function. The controversy comes where some people (like the inventor of bulletproof coffee, Dave Asprey) recommend that you replace breakfast with this drink. That sounds completely whack-o to me and I’m not interested in testing out that theory.
But for those who may have an intolerance to milk and a love for a latte, this delicious drink is worth a try.
1 cup freshly brewed, hot coffee
1 tbs of clarified butter (or grass fed butter)
1/2 tbs MCT coconut oil
Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until foamy.
Serve while still hot
